There were nearly 60 tracts of land sold at auction between December 10th and December 30th. During these auctions, there was a total of 5,654 +/- acres available for purchase and of those acres, 4,807 +/- were tillable acres. Overall, the sale results were “good” with several “strong” sales. That said, there were one tract that was a “no sale”. The Price/Acre ranged from $1,700/acre for a tillable tract in south central Iowa to $14,100/acre for a tillable tract in both southeast Iowa. The average Dollar ($) / Tillable CSR2 point for the tracts that successfully sold is $117/pt.

The month of December was a very active month for land auctions in Iowa. Per our records, there were 87 tracts marketed to be sold at auction in December. Of these tracts, 86 tracts successfully sold and only 1 tract was a “no-sale”. Our December Auction Results report is now available.
