Mark Van Den Berg, ARA

Mark’s passion for agriculture began on his family’s produce and cash crop farm in eastern Michigan. This passion for agriculture lead him to Michigan State University where he graduated in 2014 with a Bachelors degree in Agribusiness Management and a minor in Agronomy.

After graduation from Michigan State University, Mark began his appraisal career in 2014 with Value Midwest, which joined Peoples Company in 2020. In 2017, Mark obtained his Certified General license in Michigan. Mark furthered his expertise in appraising agricultural real estate by gaining the Accredited Rural Appraiser designation through the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA). He currently serves as the President of the Michigan Chapter of the ASFMRA along with serving on the ASFMRA YPN National Leadership Committee.

Mark specializes in the appraisal of vacant land, livestock operations, greenhouses, feed mills, and other specialized and complex agricultural properties in Michigan and across the United States.
